Former bureaucrat and National Conference leader Farooq Ahmad Shah on Sunday asked people to vote for a change.
Addressing gatherings at Lalpora and Chukar in Tangmarg Shah said, “Omar Abdullah led National Conference is a pan J&K party which has its footprints and support in all the three regions of the state. NC is committed to bring development in the state and people have realized that only this party is their true representative.”
Referring to Gulmarg constituency, Shah said that “the time has come when the people of this constituency will feel empowered. Tangmarg is so near to Srinagar in distance, yet it’s far away from the political empowerment. Now the time has changed and people of this constituency would feel this change on the ground.”
Shah said the Gulmarg constituency is extremely important in the modern political landscape of the state given its geopolitical position. “Tourism is one of the major tools that has to be utilised to project Gulmarg worldwide. It will attract economic boom in the area. Boosting economy will not only improve the life style of the locals but also bring job opportunities home,” he added.
Shah was accompanied by senior local NC leaders, including Ghulam Mohiuddin, who during his address pledged full support to him and the party.
