Masoodi seeks evacuation of stranded Kashmiris

National conference MP from Anantnag Hasnain Masoodi on Friday expressed dismay over lack of concern by the government toward the plight of hundreds of people stranded in different parts of country.

Masoodi hit out the government for not coming to the rescueof those stranded in various cities across the country. “I have been gettingSOS calls from the stranded Kashmiri students, laborers, businessmen and scoresof people evacuated from Iran and other countries presently putting up invarious quarantine centers. The quarantine period and the required SOP’s issuedfor the return of all the evacuees from Iran and others quarantined at Mumbai,Jodhpur have already been carried out properly. Therefore, the government musttake immediate steps to ensure return of these people to Kashmir,” he said.

   

Masoodi while referring to plight of Kashmiri studentsstranded in Bangladesh and Krygistan said the government should take immediatesteps to evacuate them.

“The government should come to the rescue of all thoseincluding students, businessmen, laborers stranded in various cities inHaryana, Punjab,Uttrakhand, Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh. These people arerunning out of money. I urge the government to evacuate these people,” he said.
