APHC in Pakistan hails unity move

Islamabad, Jan 16: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Pakistan Chapter has hailed the unity initiative among pro-freedom leaders.
 APHC convener Syed Yousuf Naseem while welcoming the move told reporters that this achievement that would certainly rejuvenate the alliance besides boosting up the moral of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, who have been engaged in the ongoing liberation struggle for years.
 Flanked by Mehmood Ahmed Saghar, Sheikh Yaqoob, Muzaffar Shah and Professor Muhammad Ashraf Saraf, Raja Khadim Hussain and others, APHC convener appreciated the unity move of the Democratic Freedom Party Chief, Shabir Ahmed Shah, Peoples League Chairman Sheikh Abdul Aziz, Azam Inqilabi and Yasmeen Raja who have recently joined the amalgam.
 Urging others (pro-freedom organizations) to follow the suit, he said now it becomes obligatory on the prominent parties and their leadership particularly Jamat-e-Islami and Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front to rejoin the amalgam.
 He said they should join also so as to clear the  confusion that who will represent Kashmiris.
 He regretted that the previous split was a setback for the alliance.
 “Kashmiris are fighting for their legitimate right guaranteed to them by the world’s highest forum the United Nations,” he added.
 Commenting on the ongoing dialogue process he said that APHC believes that Kashmir issue being a political one could be resolved through sustainable dialogue but inclusion of the Kashmiris in the talks process is highly indispensable to bring about a tangible solution to the festering dispute.
 Responding to a question about the 4-point formula putforth by Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf, he said the proposals provide a roadmap towards final settlement of Kashmir dispute.
 Earlier, Mehmood Ahmed Saghar, Shiekh Yaqoob, Khadim Hussain and Muzaffar Shah were given rousing welcome by the members of APHC-Pakistan Chapter as they reached Hurriyat Secretariat in Islamabad.
 The representatives later expressed satisfaction over the decision of their respective leadership in Kashmir and hoped that under the banner of the APHC they would make all efforts to strengthen the cause for which Kashmiris have offered sacrifices.
 Besides Hurriyat convener the meeting was attended by Muhammad Asharaf Saraf, Faiz Naqashbandi, Altaf Hussain Wani, Dr. Abdul Aala, Abdul Hameed Lone, Abdul Majeed Malik, Dawood Khan, Tufail Altaf Butt, Abdul Mateen, Javaid Jehangeer, Iqbal Bilwal and others.
