Islamabad: The former prime minister of Pakistan administered Kashmir (PaK) and the head of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples’ Muslim League, Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chudhary while hailing the unity move of pro-freedom leaders has said that unity within the Hurriyat cadres was highly indispensable.
“Unanimity and concurrence within pro-movement leadership is the only way to take the ongoing liberation struggle to its logical end”, Barrister said this while talking to the members of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (M) Pakistan chapter, who called on him at his residence in Islamabad today.
Speaking on the occasion, Barrister Chudhary said, “Hurriyat Conference is the sole representing platform of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and its unification would certainly cast positive impacts on the freedom struggle”.
Paying tributes to the Hurriyat leader’s indomitable role, the former prime minister said that the Kashmiri leadership has shown great courage and perseverance for leading the nation in extremely critical situation. He said that despite massive Indian troops’ concentration in the state the leadership has succeeded in maintaining national integrity and vigour among the masses. He said that the unparalleled sacrifices rendered by the valiant people of Jammu and Kashmir will never go in vain.
Commenting on the human rights situation in Indian held Kashmir, he said that India troops have unleashed rein of terror in the area. “Under the garb of so-called Republic Day, Kashmiris are subjected to torture and humiliation by Indian troops within the occupied territory as well as in other Indian states, which is highly condemnable”, he added.
