PaK resident shot dead near LoC

A statement by the ISPR said that Pakistan army “befittingly responded to Indian firing.”

Indian soldiers allegedly shot dead a resident of Pakistan administered Kashmir (PaK) from across the Line of Control (LoC) on Saturday, officials and residents claimed.

Muhammad Aslam Qureshi, 62, was collecting firewood from a field a little ahead of his home at Polas village located in Abbaspur sector of the southern Poonch district, when he was attacked at about 1 pm ‘without any provocation,’ locals said.

 

A statement by the ISPR said that Pakistan army “befittingly responded to Indian firing.”

 

In Islamabad, India’s Deputy High Commissioner J P Singh was summoned at the Foreign Ministry and a strong protest was lodged with him over the killing of the PaK resident.
