A dream lake in Dubai

Vibrant Dubai is a land of firsts and finals in the world. A city of elegance, Dubai is known worldwide for its high-rise buildings, opulent malls, luxurious hotels/restaurants and wide and clean multi-lane driveways. Dubai has the tallest and most roomy hotels in the world.

This apart, this city of immense elegance has the world’s tallest buildings Burj Khalifa and Dubai Shopping Mall, which are enough to add to its fame. Automated Metro is also here.

Dubai has set high standards in everything and in every field. Burj Khalifa (the tallest building under the sun), Dubai Miracle Garden (the largest flower garden in the Middle East), Ski Dubai (largest indoor ski-resort built inside Dubai mall) and Palm Island (largest man-made island) Dubai Frame, Global Village, Ibn Battuta Mall, etc. are such places of interest that are not only amazing but examples of par excellence.

My visit to Dubai for three months is gradually approaching its end. I almost visited all the sightseeing places during my previous visits to this place. During my current visit, I was told that Dubai had once again enchanted the world with its yet another architectural wonder and creative design. This wonderful and surprising sight was none other than the ‘Love Lake’ of Dubai. The world came to know about Love Lake only when Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, shared a picture of this artificial lake on his Instagram handle. Since then, the number of visitors to this place started increasing day by day. This lake is also known as ‘Al-Qudra’ Lake.

The lake is spread over an area of 550,000 square metres. To make it even better, the lake surrounding has the best collection of flowers and plants. There are more than 16000 trees and plants around the lake. The branches of trees, bushes etc. have all been given the shape of a loving heart. This lake is much more than just a barbecue spot or an adorable place for an evening walk. Being far away from the city, this place is very peaceful and picturesque. A beautiful sunset can be watched here. The orange glow of the sun combined with golden sand and greenery cannot be described in words. Hence the best time to visit the lake is one hour before sunset when the weather starts getting pleasant and hours can be spent in the park adjacent to the lake. This man-made artificial lake has been designed with great exquisiteness and art. Overall, the Al-Qudra Lake has its own distinctiveness in the romantic destinations of Dubai. Over the years, it has become one of the most coveted tourist destinations in Dubai to spend time with your friends, loved ones and the nearest and dearest ones in a serene and tranquil atmosphere.
