Despite COVID-19 disruptions, BGSBU adhered to academic calendar; VC compliments Controller exams for holding exams on time
The Vice Chancellor Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) Rajouri on Sunday stated that the varsity was adhering to the academic calendar despite the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic during the current academic year.
In a statement issued here, the VC said the university succeeded in imparting online education to the students and also remained at forefront for holding examinations on time. “The results were declared as per scheduled academic calendar as well,” VC said.
He applauded the Controller of Examination Muhammad Ishaq and other staff of the examination department for the smooth conduct of examination and timely declaration of results.
“It is a success for the University and an important achievement made by the University,” he said.
He said the majority of the institutions across the globe were struggling to streamline their academic schedule while BGSBU earned the distinction of religiously following the academic calendar.
“We ensured that there should be no loss to the students who are either preparing for Jobs or aspiring for higher education opportunities,” he said.
The VC BGSBU also appreciated the efforts of the teaching faculty of the University for shifting to online mode of teaching and learning in the shortest possible time.
“The teaching faculty ensured that the academic pursuits of the students are completed in a given time frame,” he said and conveyed his best wishes to the outgoing students of the University.
“As you celebrate the completion of your courses, please remember that the journey has just begun. I congratulate you for your performance and wish you tremendous success. You (students) are real ambassadors of BGSBU and we have faith in your abilities to promote the image of the Varsity,” he said.
