2 dead, 5 injured in twin accidents

Rajouri, May 5:  Two young men died and five others sustained injuries in the twin accidents in Rajouri district on Sunday.

The injured have been hospitalised and are receiving medical aid. As per Police, on Sunday morning, the driver of a vehicle (JK11E 3029) that was on its way from Jammu to Rajouri on reaching near Thalka in Nowshera on Jammu-Rajouri National Highway, lost control over the wheel and skidded off the road and fell into a gorge.

   

In the accident, driver Zabeer Ahmed, son of Muhammad Akram of Kotdhara, Rajouri died while the other person Wajit Hussain Shah, son of Farzan Hussain Shah got injured and has been hospitalised.

The second accident occurred when a cab (JK11A 1941) moving on Kotranka-Khawas Road met with an accident at Jaglanoo after it fell off the road.

A passenger identified as Abdul Shaqoor, son of Muhammad Bashir of Samote died while four others Muhammad Sakinder, son of Muhammad Khalil of Gaddi Pura, Shopian; Lal Din, son of Muhammad Shafi of Draj; Muhammad Yaqoob, son of Muhammad Khan of Jaglanoo, Kotranka and Shakeel Ahmad, son of Maqbool Hussain of Swari got injured.
