The ongoing strike at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), here, entered into the fourteenth consecutive day today, with students continuing to stay away from classes to press their demands.
As per reports, amid boycott of classes, a group of students continued their dharna at the town's Sabrang Square, although another breakaway group attended the classes.
Agitating students raised slogans, saying boycott of classes would continue unless and until authorities give in to their just demands.
"Our strike is on and it will continue unless our demands are met" a protesting university student said.
Meanwhile, JKPCC President Ghulam Ahmed Mir termed the prevailing deadlock at BGSB University as "highly unfortunate".
"The government seems helpless. Why can't it transfer an officer to fulfil the demands of students and end the deadlock", he said.
Pertinently, the students are demanding a fresh probe into the recent scholarship scam and also transfer of a senior officer as long as the probe continues.
