7 women injured in clash over land dispute

Seven women received multiple injuries in a clash between two parties over some land dispute in Treru village of Dharamsal today, reports and officials said.

Seven women received multiple injuries in a clash between two parties over some land dispute in Treru village of Dharamsal today, reports and officials said.

Reports said people from both the sides engaged in a verbal duel over some land dispute in Treru village falling under Teryath police post of Dharamsal police station.

"A verbal duel took place between women from both the sides which soon took an ugly turn and turned into a clash. Both sides shared blows and lathis in which seven women got injured", eyewitnesses said. 

"Some of the injured women have been hospitalised locally while two have been referred to district hospital Rajouri", a police official said.

He further stated that two separate cases will be registered in the incident and investigation is in its initial stage.

The injured have been identified as Shamim Akhter, Nazima Koser, Reshma Bi, Zakia Begum, Noor Begum, Zahida Koser and Nazia Koser.
