In yet another instance of the alleged official apathy the conference hall in the Budhal is awaiting its completion for past six years.

Foundation stone of the building of conference hall was laid on 13th of October 2010 by then MLA Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali, who happens to be the cabinet minister in the present regime.

In six years construction agency has just managed to construct the base of the building.

When  then MLA Zulfkar Ali had laid the foundation stone he had  promised that building would be completed within two years but his promised fell flat as building is awaiting completion since past six years.

Sources within Public Works Department told Greater Kashmir that in the first phase of this project, plinths were to be constructed. "After phase was completed government didn't release the funds for the construction of the second phase that is why work could not commence," they added.

Meanwhile, chairperson of Budhal United Front has appealed state government to complete the project. He threatened if  government fails to restart the work forthwith people would hit the streets and stage protests.

The Vice- President of Budhal United Front Shahnawaz Khaki and other members staged protest on the site of conference hall building and raised slogans against the state government. " Senior officers of district administration hardly visit the area and are least bothered about the development of the area " Khaki alleged.
