HSS Principal dies, 3 injured in Poonch accident
A Government Higher Secondary School Principal dies while his wife and three others were injured after the vehicle they were travelling met with a road accident near Lassana Top village of Surankote , Poonch, Police said on Sunday.
As per police reports, a Tata Sumo JK02W9766 on way to Lassana Top, rolled down last night at about 1 PM when the driver lost control over the vehicle while negotiating a sharp curve.
Police from, the vehicle plunged into road. One person died on the spot, while three others including a woman was injured.
The Police identified the deceased as Mohammad Latif son of Mohammad Shafi, Principal Government Girls Higher Secondary School Pulwama.
The injured have been identified as wife of the deceased Jameela Begum, Mushtaq Ahmed son of Mohammad Rafiq and Reffat Hamid daughter of Abdul Hamid all residents of Sanai village of Surankote.
Later critically injured Jameela Begum was referred to GMCH Jammu for specialized treatment.
Police have registered a case in this regard.
Meanwhile, Minister for Education, Naeem Akhtar has expressed his condolence at the demise of a Mohammed Lateef Principal Girls Higher Secondary School Pulwama.
In his condolence message, the Minister said that his sympathies are with the family of Lateef and hundreds of students who had privilege of being taught and mentored by him. The Minister said that Lateef was highly intelligent teacher and an able administrator and his demise has left a difficult to fill vacuum at the school.
The Minister prayed to almighty to grant the deceased highest place in Jannat and give courage to his family members to bear the loss.
