Rajouri, Feb 3: A deer was rescued from a forward area along the Line of Control, here on Sunday.

Reports from Rajouri said that on Sunday morning, army personnel, while performing duty along the LoC in Tarkundi area, found a deer trapped in the barbed fence. The animal was rescued, but had suffered serious injuries.

It was shifted to Rajouri, where a team of veterinary doctors were treating the animal till last reports poured in.

Divisional forest officer, wildlife protection, Rajouri, Chowdhary Mushtaq Hussain, told Greater Kashmir that the deer, a male, got trapped in the border fencing and got critically injured. "The animal is under treatment in army veterinary hospital at Rajouri and wildlife protection department has also taken the possession of the animal," he said.
