Rajouri, Apr 8: To assess the quality of work and all other aspects, the Additional Director General (ADG) of Border Roads Organisation (BRO), R K Dhiman along with Chief Engineer, Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), Rahul Gupta visited areas of Rajouri and inspected the under-construction Nowshera Tunnel.
Dhiman and Gupta were accompanied by Chief Engineer Project Sampark Brig Neeraj Madan and they all conducted a comprehensive inspection of the ongoing development projects along the Akhnoor-Poonch National Highway.
A project for upgrading the two-lane highway on ‘Two Lane with Paved Shoulders’ specification and construction of three tunnels – Kandi, Sungal, and Nowshera tunnels is going on in the area.
In an official statement, it was informed that the inspection was aimed to assess the progress and quality of the infrastructure projects which are vital for enhancing connectivity and promoting regional development.
