Day 30: NHM strike on

The employees of National Health Mission (NHM)  in Poonch district  as well as in the state continued their protest on Thursday for 30th day.

The employees said that the protests are aimed to press the government to regularize them.

It may be recalled that NHM employees went on strike on Dec 20 for 72-hours, which was later extended several times up to Jan 18, 2018 saying that they won’t call off their protest until the government  meets their demands.

The protesters said: “We are working on meagre amount and the government is not paying any heed towards our sufferings. The government must come up with a policy for regularization and should secure the future of thousands of NHM employees across the state.”

“Till now there is no positive response from the present regime. We will not call off the strike till our demands are met.”
