The armies of India and Pakistan on Thursday exchanged fire and shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in Sunderbani area of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
An official said that ceasefire violation took place today morning with two armies targeting each other.
“Pakistan Army initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by small arms fire and shelling with mortars in Sunderbani Sector since 0915 hours”, the Defence PRO was quoted as having said by PTI news agency.
The Pakistan Army also targeted forward posts in Mendhar sector of Poonch district on Wednesday night, officials said.
The firing and shelling was going on when last reports came.
There was no immediate report of any loss of life or injuries.
