Jammu and Kashmir: Two Army officers wounded in Poonch landmine blast

Two Junior Commissioned officers (JCOs) of the army were wounded in a landmine blast along the Line of Control (LoC) in Mankote area of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday.

Quoting reports, news agency GNS reported that the JCOs Dhareej Kumar and Rajendhar Singh of 5 Mahar Regiment were injured when they accidentally stepped on a mine while patrolling along LoC in Mankote sector.

   

Both have suffered injuries in the incident and were evacuated to army hospital Rajouri for treatment.

Police post Incharge Mankote, Abdual Karim confirmed the incident.

The officer said that a case has been registered.
