Rajouri, Mar 26: A young man lost his life while his wife sustained critical injuries in an accident that took place at Narian on Jammu Rajouri Poonch national highway.
The accident, police said, took place on Monday evening when a truck JK02CT 4094 and a motorcycle JK11F1470 collided with each other after the truck went on wrong side of highway and also crushed the motorcycle.
In this accident, young man Altaf Hussian son of Manzoor Hussain resident of Ward number 04, Atti Rajouri died on the spot whose body was later shifted to GMC Associated Hospital Rajouri and handed over to the family for last rites.
Deceased’s wife identified as Mehnaz Akhter from Atti Rajouri got injured who was rushed to Sub District Hospital Nowshera and than referred to GMC Jammu and her condition is stated to be critical.
Police said that both the vehicles involved in the accident have been seized and a case under relevant sections of law have been registered in local police station.
