A man was killed while six persons sustained injuries in separate road accidents in Mendhar and Nowshera on Sunday.

In Mendhar, reports said, at around 5:15 pm, a Tata Sumo,JK12 8247, skidded off the road and plunged into a gorge at Kalaban-Ludi WaliPadi village. As a result, the driver was killed on the spot.

The deceased has been identified as 23-year-old MohammadYousaf, son of Mohammad Nazir.

Block medical officer, Mendhar, Dr Parvez Khan said that thedriver of the vehicle was brought dead to the hospital.

Meanwhile, in Nowshera, reports said, six people sustainedinjuries after a minibus, JK02AP 8193, met with an accident on theNowshera-Bhawani road. The injured were shifted to Nowshera hospital by thelocals and the police, where they were undergoing treatment when last reportspoured in.
