Mendhar: ‘Cheating’ continues in Board exams; officials close eyes
Both district administration and Education department here seem to be failing in its duty to check unabated copying prevailing during ongoing board examinations conducted in different examination centres of Mendhar sub-division in Poonch.
A huge quantity of copying material was recovered on Wednesday from students in examination centre in another government higher secondary school of the area.
As per details, a three member team of State Board of School Education paid a surprise visit to Government Higher Secondary School Chatral where papers of class 12th (private) in Urdu, Hindi and Physics subjects were going on.
During the visit, the BOSE team was stunned to see the scale of copying going on inside the examination centre, with students openly using books, notes and other copying material, reports said.
During frisking of students, a huge quantity of copying material was recovered from them after which the BOSE team framed 18 cases of unfair means.
Meanwhile, people said both Education department and district administration have failed to take any action against the alleged involvement of staff of schools in the copying practice.
