Multiple CFVs spread panic in Poonch

Multiple ceasefire violations (CFVs) along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch on Thursday spread panic in the area.

As per Indian army officials, “Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire by resorting to firing on forward posts along the LoC in Poonch district. They (Pakistani army) resorted small arms firing in Kerni forward areas in the district at 5.50 am.”

   

The Army also retaliated effectively, they said, adding that there was no loss of life or injury to anyone.

Meanwhile, another round of cross border firing started at about 3 pm and lasted for an hour.

“Pakistani army resorted to cross border firing and targeted Indian army posts, which drew equal retaliation,” said an official, informing that cross border firing spread panic in the area.

Besides, there were reports of damage to a house in the firing.
