Bandh in Nowshera continued, entered into the 44th consecutive day on Saturday, while the dharna in Budhal continued for the 5th consecutive day.
In Nowshera, all business establishments remained closed and people continued their protest and bandh, demanding district status. They also said that besides sanctioning ADC post, the government has so far failed to resolve any of their issue. They also took out a protest rally in the main town and raised slogans in favor of their demand.
Meanwhile, the dharna in favour of demand for tehsil status to Budhal continued on Saturday with locals taking out a protest rally and later sat on dharna. They said that order for Budhal tehsil was issued by the previous government in 2014, but the present dispensation has failed to implement it and the people are feeling politically discriminated. ADC Kotranka Mohammed Shafiq also visited the spot and interacted with the people.
