A number of residents from forward villages of Nowshera area in Pir Panchal region have started returning home as guns have fallen silent on the Line of Control (LoC).
Details available with Greater Kashmir state that villagers of several villages including Khamba, Saryah, Bhawani, located close to Line of Control, were shifted to Higher Secondary School Nowshera a week after heavy mortar shelling between India and Pakistani armies.
With no fresh firing or shelling taking place on LoC situation is limping back to normal. Many families have returned home.
A team headed by SDM Nowshera Harbans Lal Sharma and Tehsildar Nowshera have informed the people that contingency plan is fully prepared and all the officers of administration are available for public round the clock.
