Poonch, Feb 18: Three drug peddlers were arrested by police during Operation Sanjeevni in Poonch’s Surankote sub division.
Police said that team established nakas on different locations in last two days and recovered around 150 grams of charas like substance and 15 grams Heroine like substance from the possession of three drugs peddler Imran Khan of Mohra Bachai, Surankote, Imran Khan of Fazalabad Surankote and Naseem Ahmed of Saillian Surankote.
The three person have been arrested, said police. A vehicle bearing registration number JK12C 6978 has also been seized which was being used by the accused for smuggling of narcotics.
Police said that a case FIR No 25/2024 U/Ss 8/21/22/25 NDPS Act, FIR No. 28/2024 and FIR No 30/2024 U/Ss 8/20 NDPS act has been registered at Police Station Surankote.
Further investigation into these cases is going on in order to trace the backward and forward links, said police.
