Rajouri, Apr 25: Ninty six thousand, nine hundred and eighty six voters are registered for voting in areas of Kalakote Sunderbani assembly segment under Jammu Reasi parliamentary seat. Polling under the second phase of parliamentary elections will be held on Friday under tight security arrangements.
Out of five assembly constituencies of border district Rajouri, four are under Anantnag Rajouri parliamentary seat whereas one constituency viz. Kalakote Sunderbani falls under Jammu Reasi parliamentary seat.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Kalakote, Mohammad Tanveer Khan, who is also Assistant Returning Officer, informed that for the parliamentary elections voting in this assembly segment, the election headquarter was established at Kalakote subdivision headquarter where there is an EVM strong room besides polling party dispatch unit and polling party receiving unit.
He said that all 138 polling teams for equal number of polling stations were dispatched from the headquarter and this teams have already reached their respective polling stations.
