Poonch, April 01: Three girls attempted suicide in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir last night, official said.
A police official told Greater Kashmir that three girls jumped off the Sher-e-Kashmir bridge in Poonch last night. While one girl died, two others were rescued by the locals and the police, he added.
The deceased was identified as Asiya Kousar, a resident of Poonch.
A case has been registered at Police Station Poonch and investigation is underway, said the official.
