Protest over ration shortage in Rajouri areas

Inhabitants of different villages of Rajouri on Monday staged a protest against state government for prevailing ration shortage in the district and alleged that concerned ministry has failed in regulating ration supply and poor masses are suffering.

A number of people from different villages assembled at Old Bus Stand Rajouri under the leadership of independent political leader and former Sarpanch, Yougesh Sharma.

Protesting people raised slogans against state government and Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs.

They said for last four months, sugar has not been supplied to common masses while now flour atta has also not been provided and people have no other option than to purchase ration from market.

"The State Government and food ministry are making hollow sloganeering and concerned minister is only making tall claims but poor masses are badly suffering," Sharma and others said.

They further alleged that government should firstly implement guest control in political rallies and then impose this on poor masses.
