An ambulance driver of district hospital Rajouri namely Manoj Kumar today died in a hospital in Ludhiana after suffering from Dengue and some other health problems.
As per reports, Manoj fell ill about a week ago and was tested positive for Dengue while his platelet count reached on minimal level and he was referred to GMC&H Jammu about four days ago and than taken to Ludhiana DMC two days ago.
However, he died today afternoon in Ludhiana hospital.
Sources disclosed that Manoj was suffering from Dengue and illness created some multiple problems in his body and he breathed last.
Meanwhile, official spokesman of Rajouri administration confirmed on behalf of health department that deceased Manoj was tested positive for Dengue.
"He was treated for dengue in GMC&H Jammu and later referred to Ludhiana for further treatment. " official spokesman of administration on behalf of CMO Rajouri said.
Statement adds that, However, the diagnostic report of Ludhiana is yet to come.
Meanwhile statement of Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Rajouri mentions that he was referred to GMC&H with fever and low platelet count, low total leukocyte count, deranged liver function tests and positive for Dengue serology, N S 1.
"He was a known case of diabetes and reportedly was shifted to Ludhihana D M C where he has breathed his last. " statement adds.
The exact cause of death can only be ascertained only after reviewing his medical record from G M C Jammu and DMC Ludhiana, it adds.
Meanwhile, locals have stated death of driver as a major loss for the area.
"He was one of the dedicated employee of driver who never waited even for a second while shifting patients even in night hours " messages on social media reads.
People termed his death as an irreparable loss.
