Rajouri police has asked the hoteliers in the district to strictly keep the record of customers staying in their hotels.

After receiving some complaints of "careless attitude" of hoteliers in this regard, a drive has been started by Rajouri Police on the directions of SSP Rajouri Mohd Suleman Choudhary in this regard.

Under the drive, teams of Special Operation Group of Rajouri police under the supervision of ADSP Rajouri Muhammad Yusuf and DySP OPs Iftkhar Ahmed Qureshi conducted surprise visits in a number of hotels in Rajouri town.

Police teams inspected the log book and customer record maintained by hoteliers along with their identity proofs.

All the hoteliers were directed to maintain proper records of all the customers visiting them and staying in their hotels. They have asked to keep photocopies of their (guests) Identity Proofs so that police can access it anytime.

The hoteliers have been asked to contact police if any customer present in hotel behaves suspiciously.

Police has warned hoteliers to adhere to these directions and if any hotelier is found violating it, action under law will be taken.
