Rajouri: The ongoing operation in Daddal village area of Rajouri's Sunderbani entered third day on Thursday with no fresh contact with militants suspected to be hiding in area close to the Line of Control (LoC).

The operation was started on Tuesday afternoon after reports were received regarding the presence of suspects in Daddal village along the LoC after which Army and Police started Cordon and Search Operation.

In the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, exchange of fire took place at cordon site in which an Army personnel received injuries.

Officials said that after the exchange of fire in the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, no fresh exchange has taken place with no fresh contact even with the militants.

They said that the entire area of Daddal was under tight cordon with both Police and Army on the job.

"Both the Army and Police are carrying forward the operation but there is no fresh contact with the militants so far," a senior Police officer said.
