Jammu, Apr 16: Senior Congress leader Sachin Pilot today hit out at BJP for doing the politics of vendetta and hatred.
He stated that BJP had only two MPs during Rajiv Gandhi’s time but Congress never raised the slogan of BJP Mukt Bharat.
According to a press release, he was addressing a public meeting at Khour near Suchetgarh in favour of Congress candidate Raman Bhalla. Pilot said, “BJP has destroyed the democratic culture of the country by its mission to target only opposition leaders. The party has collected huge amounts through illegal electoral bonds scheme. But the accounts of Congress were seized on the eve of elections on filmy grounds and citing decades old cases,” he said.
Pilot alleged that the opposition leaders and elected chief minister were arrested in the midst of elections. He questioned the BJP’s style of government and vendetta politics of worst kind.
He said Manipur is burning but government is not bothered. “There are no elections in J&K for years and people are deprived of democracy and now Supreme Court had issue directions for it,” the Congress leader said.
Pilot said it Rahul Gandhi and Congress party which reached to the suffering people everywhere by walking on foot thousands of kilometers and raising their voice.
