Kupwara, Apr 28: Former minister and senior National Conference (NC) leader Choudhary Mohammad Ramzan today said that the only his party can bring back the lost identity of people of Jammu and Kashmir.
He was talking to media on the sidelines of a party function on Sunday at Nagranar Handwara. Ramzan said that people of Kashmir will certainly vote for National Conference in the Parliament elections because they have understood that only this party can bring back their lost identity.
“We have been deprived of everything. Even government employments are not secured now. Those being supported by BJP are living in fool’s paradise that they can win the election. People are mature enough to keep away communal forces from power,” he said. Taking a dig at Peoples Conference Chairman, Sajad Gani Lone, the NC leader said that “Under Article 370 the people of Jammu and Kashmir used to enjoy special privileges and status but people like Sajad Lone and New Delhi ceased the special status.”
“The present election is not for power but for the rights of people and people have understood who is their friend and who are traitors,” said the former cabinet minister.
While welcoming 22 families of Nagranar into party, Choudhary said that they have felt the difference of being associated with the person who has never owned them. According to him, he is the only true representative of people. He assured them of full support and respect like his other workers.
