Northern Army Commander reviews security situation in south Kashmir

Srinagar, Apr 16: Lieutenant General M V Suchindra Kumar, the Army Commander of Northern Command, undertook a visit to the hinterland formations in south Kashmir. The purpose of the visit was to review the operational preparedness of the forces and assess the prevailing security situation in the region.

During his visit, Lt Gen Kumar, who was accompanied by GOC 15 Corps Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai and GOC Victor Force, Major Gen Balbir Singh commended the personnel for their unwavering vigilance and dedication to duty. He emphasized the importance of being prepared for any potential security challenges that may arise in the future. The Army Commander’s visit comes at a time when Lok Sabha elections are about to start.

In his interactions with the troops, Lt Gen Kumar lauded their commitment to safeguarding the nation’s interests and maintaining peace in the area. He also highlighted the need for continuous training and preparedness to effectively deal with any emerging security threats.
