Poonch, Mar 27: Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) teams have collected samples from the site of last night’s mysterious explosion near a Gurudwara in Poonch town . Senior police officers also visited the site besides meeting members of civil society.
The explosion took place at around 11 PM during the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday which splinter marks of the explosion are clearly visible on the walls in its vicinity.
This explosion had taken place in front of a Gurudwara near Poonch hospital in Poonch town. On Wednesday, DIG Rajouri Poonch range, Tejinder Singh visited the site of explosion where he was briefed upon the situation by SSP Poonch Yougal Manhas. The DIG visited the explosion site besides visiting the Gurudwara located in the area.
He also met with civil society members besides representatives of Sikh community who while expressing concern over the incident called for identification of accused and action against them who carried out this act.Talking with media persons, DIG Rajouri Poonch range Tejinder Singh said that investigation into the matter has been set into motion.
“Police responded swiftly after the incident last night and all the senior officers reached the site within no time,” said DIG Tejinder Singh. He informed that some vital leads have been developed during the investigation which however cannot be shared as of now. DIG further said that the case will be solved and who so ever found involved will be identified and dealt as per the law.He further warned all the Anti Social elements to digest Anti Social elements to desist from any such action as police is having a zero tolerance policy towards it.
