Srinagar, Nov 9: The Kashmir University, cricket coach, Amjid Qadir Bhat recently participated in the BCCI 'A' level coaching course held at LNUPE, Gawalior from October 24 to 29.
 In the course, 25 participants from all over country participated, including 11 Sports Authority of India, coaches.
 The participants were trained by four BCCI owned National Cricket Academy (NCA) instructors. "During course participants were trained both in theoretical aspects of coaching and as well as practical," observers said.
 On the concluding day, examination of participants was held and the result of that is yet to be declared.
 "I was the only one from J&K to participate in the course and I am confident that I will qualify it," said Amjid.
 Amjid is a Post Graduate in cricket from LNUPE last year.
 In that course, Amjid had got first place and on the basis of that LNUPE selected him for the BCCI course.
 "I did not participate in the course on the recommendation of J&K cricket Association. I am the only one till date to participate directly in the course that was conducted by BCCI. I earned this distinction because of my performance in the Post Graduation course" he added.
 When asked about the importance of the course, Amjid said, "It gives you lot of knowledge about the grass root level aspects of coaching. The course will definitely help me in imparting better coaching to students in University. I am also looking forward to participate in next level of course".
