Srinagar, Dec 9: Visitors Vidarbha were in strong position at the end of second day's play in the Ranji trophy match against hosts J&K at GGM Science College on Thursday.
 Resuming their inning on score of 295 for the loss of six wickets, Vidarbha got all out for 431. R Jangid top scored with 109 runs while SU Shrivastava scored 91 runs. For JK R Dutta took six wickets.
 In reply, JK was struggling on 151 for the loss of nine wickets at the end of second days play, still trailing by 280 runs.
 FG Hazari was top score for JK with 40 runs and none of the other batsmen were able to make any impact.
 For Vidarbha, AG Jungade took three while AA Wakhare took two wickets. With just one wicket in hand and trailing by huge score of 281 runs, it is likely that JK will be forced to follow-on.
 Earlier on first day of the match, Vidarbha built on a solid opening partnership to reach 295 for the loss of 6 wickets. Amit Deshpande and Jayesh Dongaonkar added 72 runs upfront before medium-pacer Raman Dutta took three wickets as Vidarbha slipped to 141 for 4. Ravi Jangid and Shalabh Shrivastava rescued their side with a 128-run stand. Jangid hit 15 fours in his maiden first-class hundred before falling for 103, but Shrivastava was unbeaten on 72 at stumps. Dutta took a career-best 4 for 87.
