Srinagar: Eleven girls from Kashmir division have been selected for the upcoming national football championship to represent state team. The selection was made on Friday at Jammu.
 The selected girls have to participate in girls' national football school games which are scheduled to be held at Goa from November 13. Out of 17 players who had gone to Jammu for trials from Kashmir division, 11 were selected.
 In the trials, Kashmiri girls outclassed Jammu counterparts. Kashmiri girls were playing football first time and only had gone under a few weeks of coaching before the trials. But still they impressed in the trials.
 Kashmiri boys also dominated the selection trials and out of 15 players 14 were selected for the national championship which is scheduled to be held at Salt Lake Stadium Kolkatta in the last week of November. Only one player from Kashmir division lost out in the selection tirlas.
 The trials were conducted by Directorate of Youth Services and Services Sports.
