New Delhi, Dec 9: The International Cricket Council on Thursday said it will use the Decision Review System (DRS) based on technology popularly known as "hawkeye" for all the matches of the cricket World Cup to be held early next year.
"All the matches of the World Cup 2011 will have the DRS which will be based on virtual technology (commonly known as hawkeye), ICC spokesperson told at the press conference here.
First time ever the production of the ICC Cricket World Cup in the High Definition format will be another landmark in cricket presentation.
To give television audiences the most riveting experience, each and every match will be covered by 27 cameras including innovative features like movable slips cameras and low 45 degree filed cameras.
