90 cricketers turn up for J&K T20 team trials
On Wednesday which was third day of the open selection trials for selecting J&K T20 team for upcoming national event, around 90 players turned up at GGM Science College ground.
While the first two days of selection trials saw moderate response from cricketers, on Wednesday nets at trial venue was over crowded owing to the rush of cricketers who turned for the trials.
"Today we saw around 90 cricketers majority of whom have come from Kashmir turning up for the selection trials. All of us (selectors) are trying best to give maximum time to players in nets while batting and bowling but it is always difficult to hold open trials in limited time," said one of the selectors.
"On Thursday we are expecting more players who have been outside the state playing in various tournaments to join the trials. Selection will end on January 5 before the final team would be announced, he added.
