Cricketer Parvez Rasool had good spell with the ball for India Reds in the Duleep Trophy match against India Blues at NPR College Ground, Dindigul on Saturday.
Chasing India Reds first inning total of 316 runs, India Blue fell short by 23 runs as Parvez Rasool ran through their batting. India Blue got all out for 293 runs with Parvez Rasool taking four wickets.
After missing out in first game, Parvez was included in the second match of the tournament. He missed out with the bat, scoring only eight runs but then turned out in style with the bowl for his team. Showing confidence in the bowling of Parvez Rasool, skipper Abhinav Mukund opened the attack with offspin option of Parvez. The J&K Ranji trophy skipper didn't disappoint picking up top batsman in India Blue lineup. He clean bowled Faiz Fazal, KS Bharat and Saurabh Kumar apart from getting top scorer of India Blue inning Druv Shorey caught and bowled on 97 runs. Parvez finished with the figures of 36 overs, three maidens, 107 runs and four wickets.
Earlier Parvez was selected for the team on the basis of his 2017-18 domestic season performance in which he took 28 wickets for J&K Ranji team and also five wicket haul in last year's Duleep Trophy.
