 The 28th Open Kashmir badminton championship concluded at Sheri-Kashmir Indoor Stadium here on Thursday.

In the competition, around 200 players in both boys and girls sections participated. The competitions were held in 19 different categories upto 45 years age group. Provincial President National Conference Nasir Aslwam Wani was the chief guest on the occasion and distributed prizes among the winners.

In the Under 10 boys category, Salman Khursheed emerged as winner and Mir Farhan runner-up while as in girls Under-10 category, Aisha was winner and Falah runner-up.

In under-13 boys category Sarim Mutthar was winner and Hazik Manzoor runner-up while as in girls section Daniya was winner and Rutba runner-up.

In under-15 boys category, Sarim Mutthar was winner and Ayan Manzoor runner-up while as in girls section, Arsh Naseer was winner and Hyser Bilal runner-up.

In Under-17 boys category, Hakim Mohd Iisa was winner and Umair Zahoor runner-up while as in girls section, Madiha was winner and Ziya runner-up.

In Under-19 boys category, Suno was winner and Abdul Muneeb runner-up while as in girls section, Ifra Hamid was winner and Amreen runner-up.

In men's single category, Ishfaq emerged as winner while as Umair runner-up. In men's doubles category, team of Sahil and Farhan was winner while as team of Nisar Amin and Bilal Amin runner-up.

In women's single category, Hadia was winner and Rabiya runner-up while as in women doubles category, team Huda and Hadia was winner and team of Amreen and Mansha runner-up.

In the mixed doubles category, team of Umair and Safia emrged winner while as team of Fazil and Hadia were runner-up.

In veteran singles category, Mansoor Ah Shayir was winner and Sanjeev Aroora runner-up while as in veteran doubles category, team of Nisar Amin and Bilal Amin emerged as winner.
