2nd Division, I-League: Real Kashmir beat Delhi Dynamos 3-2

Real Kashmir FC on Monday increased their chances of qualifying for the main round of Second Division I-League after defeating hosts Delhi Dynamos FC (Reserves) by 3-2 goals in the scintillating encounter in New Delhi.

With this win, Real Kashmir has jumped ahead of the Hindustan FC in points table to claim number one spot. After having played nine matches both teams have got 19 points but better goal average has put Real Kashmir ahead of Hindustan FC on points table. Both have one match remaining in the league and everything now hangs on that. From the group only one team qualifies for the main round of the league.

   

Real Kashmir FC went into the match with the intent of earning full points and played attacking football from the start. They got their reward in 23rdminute with Atinder Mani scoring first goal of the match. They kept attacking and went on to score two more goals. Danish Farooq scored second goal in 35th minute while as Ritwik Kumar scored third in 39th minute. At half time Real Kashmir were leading by 3-0 goals.

In second half, like it has been seen throughout the league, Real Kashmir were unable to keep the intensity on the field and always looked vulnerable. Throughout the league, Real Kashmir has failed to replicate their first half heroics and at times it has cost them dearly. In this match, again they almost gave away three goal lead as Delhi side went on to score two goals. Kuber Bisht made score line 3-1 for Delhi in 69th minute and then in 78th minute Seiminmang Manchong made it 3-2.

Seeing things getting spicy in the middle, Real Kashmir coach made couple of changes with the intent to strengthen his defense and control game. Delhi Dynamos created couple of more chances but Real Kashmir held on to their lead. Real Kashmir FC won match by 3-2 goals.

Real Kashmir will next play against FC Pune City (Reserves) on May 13.

Meanwhile Lone Star Kashmir FC another I-League level club of Kashmir will be playing its match against FC Pune City on Tuesday.
