An Army motorcycle expedition to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas was flagged off from Leh by Lt Gen YK Joshi, GOC Fire & Fury Corps.
According to Defence PRO statement, the expedition comprising six young ridersled by Capt Shaunak Bhate and Capt Vishnu Nair from the Sahas aur YogyataRegiment (Fire & Fury Sappers) will cover seven states and 3150 km, with anaim to celebrate the Indian Army’s spirit for adventure, starting from the highaltitude city of Leh and will traverse through the heart of the country downsouth to Ahmedabad.
The expedition is scheduled to start its interaction withschools and colleges from DAV College Chandigarh, the college of Late Capt VikramBatra, PVC (Posthomous), and aims to interact with 12 schools and four collegesenroute.
