Syed Baseerat, who has won multiple medals at local and national level, recently bagged gold medal in the South Asian championship of Tong ill Moo Do held at Thimpu Bhutan. Besides Baseerat, Manar Basharat won the silver medal in the championship.
Syed Baseerat student of Hatric Public won gold medal in junior medium weight category. Teams from South Asian countries, including Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Malaysia and India participated in the tournament.
Baseerat is the youngest girl from J&K who represented India in Tong ill Moo Do 2016 championship. She shined throughout the tournament by defeating all the opponents' particularly the strong rival from Sri Lanka in the finals. Syed Baseerat has done wonders earlier by bagging several medals including bronze medal in National Championship held at Srinagar and Gold medal in sub junior championship held at Kashmir Harvard School Srinagar.
Meanwhile, Manar Basharat student of Delhi Public School Srinagar won the silver medal in the South Asian championship of Tong ill Moo Do held at Thimpu Bhutan.
Manar thanked General Secretary for Tong ill Moo Do Arshad Aziz and her mentor Saima Rashid for their support.
