First of its kind in Kashmir, Chilai Kalan run 2018 was held in Srinagar from J&K Bank headquarters Dalgate to Eidgah via Munwarabad, Baba Dawood Khaki Bridge, Babadem, Rajouri Kadal, Nawa Kadal, Sakidafar and culminated at Eidgah Srinagar in which more than 50 participants took part.
The run was flagged off by Member Sports Council and well known sports person Rauf Tramboo. After reaching the Eidgah, short award ceremony was held in which all participants was awarded with participation certificates.
Prominent veteran sports personalities from Downtown Srinagar were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Rauf Tramboo said, “I think this symbolic run is first of its kind and it will help keep us fit.”
Organizing Secretary Sheikh Tufail Ahmad said, “We will continue with such activities during the winter season.”
The event was organized by Sports Fraternity Eidgah in collaboration with Hussaini Sports Club.
