The teams from Kashmir faced tough competitors on the third-day of the Kashmir Invitation Cup-2018 as visiting sides Sudeva FC and Bengaluru FC B-Team registered easy wins against SFA and Lone Star Kashmir FC at synthetic turf TRC ground here on Saturday

In the last match of the first round Bengaluru FC B-Team crushed Lone Star Kashmir FC by 7-0 goals.

Bengaluru entered the event as one of the pre-tournament favourites even though this is their reserve academy team.

Bengaluru displayed some brilliant football throughout the match, with neat interplay passing and tiki-taka football in various areas of the field, tiring the Lone Star players via long spells of possession.

Right from the outset Bengaluru FC asserted their dominance on the match and took an early lead in the fourth minute. It was a set-piece that found the net, as Altamash Sayed's curler into the box from a corner was brought down by Asheer Akhtar, who smashed home to open the scoring against his former side.

Four minutes later, the Blue Colts scored their second after Naorem Roshan Singh was adjudged to have been brought down in the box. Edmund Lalrindika took charge and sent the 'keeper the wrong way to double the Blue Colts' lead.

BFC then scored their third just past the half-hour mark as Leon, who made his first start for the Blue Colts this season, threaded a neat pass through for Roshan who in turn took the ball in his stride before finishing from close range.

Moosa made two changes at the half, sending on Lalnuntluanga and Biswa Darjee in place of Edmund and Namgyal Bhutia, and Bengaluru picked up right where they left off. Myron Mendes' drive into the area was stopped by a rash challenge, prompting the referee to point to the spot yet again and this time it was Lalnuntluanga who stepped up to score.

Former Lonestar player Altamash then scored one himself, picking a pass from Myron and taking a shot that evaded all the defenders in front of him to find the back of the net from the edge of the area.

Lalnuntluanga then completed his brace after Altamash sent Myron free down the right flank to swing in a cross for the striker to slot home. Bengaluru's seventh came as an own goal when Myron sent in a cross that an LKFC could only miscued with the clearance to send it into his own net.

The Bengaluru FC B-Team will now face Real Kashmir FC on Sunday, who also won their opening match 7-0 against Delhi United, in the semifinal.

The tournament is being organised jointly by J&K State Sports Council and J&K Football Association

Sudeva FC outplays SFA 3-0

The Delhi based second division I-League side, Sudeva Football Club outplayed the State Football Academy (SFA) by 3-0 goals in the third match of the Kashmir Invitation Cup-2018 at Synthetic Turf TRC ground, here on Saturday.

Proving the, pre-match talk that SFA that is the academy team of J&K State Sports Council and not suited for the top level football events right, the Kashmir based side was no match for Sudeva. In the match Sudeva FC defeated SFA by 3-0 goals.

Sudeva took an early lead in the 3rd minute from a corner and never looked back. SFA's team was formed of youth academy players who tried their best to get a spell of possession going but were unable to get any rhythm going.

Sudeva asserted their dominance on the game by doubling their lead soon after from another set play, bringing to light the defensive frailties of SFA.

In the second half Sudeva added another goal to finish the match with a convincing 3-0 victory. Sudeva will now play Punjab Minerva FC in the second semi-final on Tuesday.
