Students of the Doon International School Srinagar have been selected to represent state in under-14 national championship of Rollball tournament scheduled to be held at Pune from September 14 to 16.
The students were selected during state level selection trials held at MA Stadium, Jammu on August 29. Students include Mujtaba, Saulleh Matoo, Wafa Tariq, Mifta Hamed and Shifa.
Students have been trained by Ashraf Dijoo. The Roll Ball team of Doon’s Srinagar won gold and bronze in the State under the category girls and boy’s respectively.
The team members were accorded a ceremonial welcome at Doon School in a special assembly. Principal Dr M Ramachandran gave away trophies and medals to the winners. Showkat Hussain Khan the chairman of the school congratulated Physical Education Trainers and selected students for bringing laurels to the institution.
