I-League: Real Kashmir hold East Bengal to draw on way to top table

Visitors Real Kashmir held hosts East Bengal FC to a 1-1 draw in a scintillating match at Salt Lake Stadium, Kolkatta on Friday to move to the top of points table in I-League.

It is big leap from the debutants as they have kept their fairytale intact that had started with the second division I-League win and making to I-League. The Real is on the top of the table at least for one day as Chennai City FC is going to take on Shillong Lajong on Saturday. A win or draw will help Chennai regain their top spot on the table.

In first match against Kolkatta giants, Real Kashmir were able to shrug off the pressure and hold East Bengal to 1-1 draw. It was due to East bengal’s Lalram Chullova’s self-goal in the 46th minute that Real Kashmir ahead. Jobby Justin later equalized for the hosts in 56th minute. It is another big away result for the Kashmir based side after it had stunned Chennai City in last match.
