The inter-college table tennis tournament organized by directorate of physical education and sports (DYSS) Kashmir University concluded here on Wednesday.
The final was played between govern degree college Kargil and government degree college Leh. In the closely contested match, GDC Leh emerged winner.
Earlier two semifinals were played in which GDC Kargil defeated Gandhi Memorial college by 2-0 sets and GDC Leh defeated S P College by 2-1 sets.
Vice-Chancellor of University of Kashmir Prof Khursheed Iqbal Andrabi in his congratulatory message appreciated the teams from Leh and Kargil for their participation in the tournament and applauded the staff of the directorate for inviting teams from far off areas as part of Governors initiative for promotion of sports.
Director, physical education and sports Prof Nisar Ahmad Rather accompanied by assistant directors distributed the prizes among teams and assured them of every possible support.
