J&K State Muaythai team bagged 11 medals in the senior National Muaythai championship and Junior Muaythai league 2017 that was held at Jorethang Sikkim from December 26 to 31.
In the event J&K players bagged 11 medals that included four gold, three silver and four bronze.
Arif Ahmad,Kamraan Bashir,Sameer and Hina Abdullah secured gold medals while as Umer Mehraj,Humaira and Muskaan bagged silver medals. Saakib Dar,Tufail Rouf, Tajamul Sameer and Syed Talha Shah secured bronze medals.
Apart from that Arif Ahmad Bhat was awarded best male fighter award and received cash prize and a trophy.
The event was organised by Muaythai Association of Sikkim sanctioned by Muaythai India National Federation (MINF). Junior league was introduced first time with huge cash awards given to athletes.
